About Me
Hello! I'm Amanda
I am an innovative academic with over eight years of experience in the education field. I have taught a variety of populations ranging from adult learners in the medical school and higher education settings, K-12 students in a middle school science classroom, and in-service teachers through STEM professional developments. My teaching experiences have equipped me with strategies to differentiate instruction to impact all learners including emerging bilinguals, gifted learners, different abilities, nontraditional learners and even those who believe that “learning isn’t for them”. I also have extensive experience working with faculty and administrators to support student success, student retention, and use of educational technologies.
In addition to my professional work, I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Learning Design and Technology degree with a concentration in eLearning Design and Development and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction both from the University of South Florida. My research focuses in integrating emerging technologies into a variety of learning experiences and exploring the motivation, content understanding, and confidence of both learner and facilitator through educational technology.
